SPM - Workshop "Self-interacting random walks"

Place
Salle W at Ecole normale supérieure

Interdisciplinary workshop

We have the pleasure to announce our workshop devoted to self-interacting random walks.

This three-day workshop covers a topic currently attracting strong interest at the interface of mathematics and physics. These objects arise in a wide range of contexts, from the study of stochastic processes with memory to the design and analysis of non-reversible Monte Carlo algorithms, leading to very different motivations and approaches.

The workshop will bring together researchers working on self-interacting random walks, in order to encourage exchanges and interactions across disciplines. By confronting diverse viewpoints, the event seeks to stimulate new ideas and foster fruitful collaborations.

Agenda

This workshop is designed as an interdisciplinary meeting between mathematics and physics, with around twenty participants from different fields.
Each represented theme will be introduced by a dedicated talk, with priority given to early-career researchers.
Ample time will be reserved for discussions, informal exchanges, and collaborative thinking.

The workshop will be held from May 18th - 20th 2026, in Salle W at ENS (45 Rue d'Ulm, 75005 Paris).
