Focus
The SPM Program focuses on the interface between Mathematics and Physics.
This program creates and organizes a scientific community beyond historical departmental boundaries inside Université PSL, and fosters cross fertilizations among Mathematics and Physics.
The program's funding is 2M€, for five years. It started in January 2025, and will implement six Junior Research Chairs (three year competitive postdoctoral positions) and grant doctoral scholarships.
The research program Statistical Physics and Mathematics unites leading researchers in mathematics and statistical physics, establishing Université PSL as a world-class hub for the study of fluctuations in complex systems.

Members and Partners
The SPM program is supported by Université PSL and involves laboratories affiliated with two of its member institutions: CEREMADE (Center for Research in Decision Mathematics) at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, and the Département de Mathématiques et Applications (DMA), and the Laboratoire de Physique de l'Ecole normale supérieure (LPENS).
